Sleepless in Arkansas, Part 10: What Works For Me

For the past two nights, I have slept 7-8 hours.  I took a lot of different things for sleep on both days.  But I am not certain which thing helped me sleep so I decided to omit one each night until I discover what works for me. Below is the list of things I did, starting with the first night I slept more than 3-5 hours.

  11. The 4-7-8 breathing technique

What did not make a difference:

  1. Walking without sunglasses in the sun to stimulate pineal gland

  4. Taking the ½ cannabis ½ CBD tincture; the cannabis tincture seemed to be more effective without the CBD component.

Summary:

This project was intended to find out what product didn’t work for me so I wouldn’t buy it again.  As a retired professor who does lots of research, I can say that this little study might not be accurate. Even so, I will continue doing what worked for me on Sunday night, August 7 when I slept for 8 hours because sleeping is more important to me than being accurate at this time.

My next project will be “What to do when you wake up and can’t go back to sleep” because that’s what happened Thursday night, August 11 when I got up for a pit stop at 4 a.m. and could not go back to sleep.

Till then,

Please be kind to everyone you meet, for we all have our hidden sorrows. ~Tzaddi
