When I told my sister that I had actually worked in my garden–for the first time since the construction began in December, eight months ago–she was so happy for me that the noise was over. I quickly corrected her, “Uh, no. It’s not.”
In fact, in Week 32 the noise and vibration was sufficient to bring me to my knees, begging for mercy. Here’s what was happening then:
